Appositional compound is a compound of the form [[a][i]], the meaning of which can be characterized as 'a AS WELL AS i'.
Example
Player-coach means 'someone who is a player as well as a coach'.
Comments
Many linguists consider appositional compounds a subtype of the so-called dvanda compounds.
