Definition

A voiceprint is a graphic display of a speaker's voice quality (e.g. a spectrogram). Some people claim that a person's voice is as individual as fingerprints. Voiceprints can be used to identify a speaker in legal cases (cf. forensic phonetics). Yet, the spectrographic features of voiceprints are difficult to compare and interpret.
