Glottopedia:Linguists
Revision as of 21:46, 18 June 2007 by Haspelmath (talk | contribs) (Glottopedia:Linguistic research articles/Linguists moved to Glottopedia:Linguists: Entries on linguists are not really "articles".)
Articles on (living) linguists should be limited to links (especially to the linguist's personal web page), plus perhaps a list of publications.
Allowing to add information about a living linguist's life and contribution would potentially create big problems, because personality rights would be affected. By contrast, such information is appropriate for dead linguists, who can get a biographical article.
Since such "articles" on living linguists are very brief, there is no need to have them in several different languages.
