The non-pulmonic consonants are those consonants produced with airstreams besides pulmonic (egressive). These include glottalic egressive consonants (ejectives), glottalic ingressive consonants (implosives), and velaric ingressive consonants (clicks).
Non-pulmonic consonants occur in about 18% of the world's languages. [1]
