Nonconfigurationality

Nonconfigurationality is a term used to describe the syntax of those languages that allow free word order, the use of syntactically discountinous expression and extensive use of null-anaphora. The term was coined by Kenneth C. Hale in order to better describe the syntax of some languages of Australia and the Americas.
