Cliticization

In morphosyntax, cliticization is a process by which a complex word is formed by attaching a clitic to a fully inflected word.

Exsmple

In Je t'aime, t' is the clitic attached to aime.

Comment

It is unclear whether cliticization is a type of word formation or a type of syntactic operation (incorporation).
