Izguba jezika

Uvod

Izguba jezika označuje bolj ali manj kompletno izgubo jezika večjezičnega/e govorca/ke (glej [1]). V tem okviru je osnovna ta izjava, da večjezični/e govorci/ke svojih jezikov ne uporabijo na enak način (čeprav na začetku raziskave Multilingualisma so rado izpolnjovali to predpostavko (glej Weinreich). Trenutne raziskave se predvsem in posebej zanimajo tega, ali obstaja hierarhija med katgorijami jezikov, predvsem v tem jeziku ki ga govorec/govorka manj uporaba. Torej, poteka izguba tega jezika glede vrstnega reda? Je rudarstvo ene kategorije bolj označeno, torej pomeni implicitno rudarstvo drugih? Mogoče otroška jezikovna pridobitev lahko osvetluje to vprašanje, takorekoč kot gledalo. Na primer razizkajajo v tako imenovanem paradigmu "Primacy of Aspect" (glej n.pr. Robison 1990), ali je v domeni gramatičnega vida univerzalno vmesna stopnja. kar pripelje do vprašanja: poteka izguba na ta način?
